Public Hockey League (NHL) players won’t participate in the men’s ice hockey competition at the impending 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.

The NHL declared on Wednesday that it will quit due to the “ordinary season plan having been physically disturbed because of expanding COVID cases and a rising number of deferred games.”
The association is amidst a Covid-19 episode that has caused a respite in the season just as the delay of 50 games.
The Beijing Olympics are planned to happen from February 4-20 and the NHL matches will be rescheduled during the February 6-22 period.

On Monday, the NHL and NHLPA declared tasks would be stopped from Wednesday through Saturday on account of the episodes, with rehearses set to continue Sunday and games planned to continue December 27.
