Rugby Six Nations 2022 Team Details

England had championed the 2020 Six Nations Rugby and they are the most successful team ever with champions 7 times in this Rugby Six Nations event. Team England will play their very first match against Scotland on 6th February at Twickenham Stadium, London. This year they are more powerful as they don’t have any injury updates yet.

France is the second most successful team in the Six Nations tournament. With 5 times champions, they won the last in 2010. In the last edition in 2020, France got 2nd position on the points table with 18 points. At Rugby Six Nations Champions 2021, In round 1, France will play their first match against Italy on 06th February at Stadio Olimpico, Rome

With 4 times the winner in Rugby Six Nations, the Ireland rugby team is the strongest competitor for the coming 22nd edition. In 2019, Ireland took the 3rd position, but after the next edition of 2020, they took place 3rd position on the points table with 14 points. However, on 7th February 2021, Ireland will face Wales at Millennium Stadium, Cardiff. So Ireland fans are waiting for their fight.

Very unfortunate from the Scotland Rugby team. They didn’t win yet but they have much strength to fight in the battle-ground. In the last session of Six Nations, the Scotland team was the 5th position on the points table with 9 points.

Another very successful team is the Wales Rugby team. They have earned 5 times the champions title till now. In the previous edition, Wales was the champion team. Moreover, they got 23 points on the points table. 2021 edition, Wales will face their very first match against Ireland on 07th February at Millennium Stadium, Cardiff

Team Italy is similar to Scotland. They didn’t earn champions in the Rugby Six Nations Championship. In 2020, they lost all the games and didn’t earn any points. I Hope so this edition, will come up with brand new energy. The opening match will be held on 6th February 2021 (Italy vs France) at Stadio Olimpico, Rome. What is Six Nations Rugby ?

What was once known as the Five Nations tournament became the Six Nations when Italy joined the ranks in 2000. The six countries that now make up the competition are England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, France and Italy.

The tournament was first held in 1883 and originally involved just England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. There have been a number of shared titles, so overall title-holders is a little subjective. The Welsh have 39 total wins, made up of 27 outright and 12 shared. England have the most outright wins with 28, but have 38 overall including shared tournament wins.

It was a crying shame that one of the best Six Nations Championship in living memory in 2021 was played in front of empty stands with the impact of COVID-19 meaning games had to be played behind closed doors.

Currently, Wales, Scotland, Ireland and France have restrictions on spectator numbers and it remains to be seen whether those will be lifted in time for the competition’s start on 5 February.

By contrast, no similar restrictions yet apply in England, while full houses are allowed in Italy so long as fans have proof of vaccination.

Since the Five Nations Championship became the Six Nations in 2000, England have won seven men’s titles — or a third of the tournaments played. Wales have won six, France five, while Ireland have won four. Wales have won more men’s Grand Slams (four) than any other nation in that period. England are the most successful team in the overall history of the Championship having enjoyed 29 outright successes and shared the title on a further 10 occasions since that first match in 1882. England have won 13 Grand Slams since the tournament’s inception, one more than Wales.
