Bengaluru, Nov 30 (PTI) The Indian ladies’ hockey group on Tuesday left for Korea to take an interest in the Asian Champions Trophy to be held in Donghae from December 5.
It will be the principal competition for the Indian group since completing fourth at the Tokyo Olympics. It will confront China, Korea, Japan, Thailand and Malaysia in the single-pool rivalry.
India will play its initial match against Thailand on December 5, preceding taking on Malaysia on December 6 and has and reigning champs Korea in the third match on December 8.

India plays China on December 9 and Japan on December 11. The Final will happen on December 12 between the clincher of the pool and the group that completed second in the pool.
“Certainly the entire group is energized. This is our first competition after the Olympics and we have an obligation to excel at the competition,” Savita, who is driving the group without a trace of Rani who is going through recovery in Bengaluru, said in a delivery.
“We have many adolescents who are important for the group and will make their International introduction, they are likewise anticipating this openness.”
World no 9 India are the most elevated positioned group in the opposition.
“A group like Korea is hard to beat at home and last version too we lost to them intently in the Final and this time too I anticipate that they should challenge us.” PTI
