The 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup will begin in sort time. One man of the Oklahoma City Thunder, Danilo Gallinari will look to make a splash in the tournament for the Italian National team. Italy will qualified and coming in Part D with Angola, Philippines and Serbia. Gallinari will play in FIBA World Cup 2019 with NBA experience in sharpshooter Marco Belinelli.
In this Basketball World Cup Serbia is Italy’s biggest threat is stacked with several NBA players including Nikola Jokic, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Nemanja Bjelica and Boban Marjanovic. Gallinari has compete with an international experience for Italy’s U16 in 2004 as well as the u18 national team in 2005, earning a bronze medal in the latter.
In 2007 he was promoted to the official Italian national team in the Eurobasket 2007 tournament. Gallinari played 4 years of professional basketball internationally with Italy.
Italy did not qualify in 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup. This highly exited tournament began in 1950, and coming every four years and the winners take home the Naismith Trophy and a gold medal. From 1970 to 2014 the tournament was held in same year. And last year it was decided that the FIBA World Cup will take place the year after the FIFA World Cup in attempt the two events.
In FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 tournament the top teams in each group move on to the second round and the bottom two teams from the initial groups move on to the classification round.
