Canada, Finland lead World Rankings in Ice Hockey
The Olympic bosses move to best position in the March release of the 2022 IIHF World Rankings. Finland surpasses Canada in the Men’s World Ranking while Canada replaces the United States in the Women’s World Ranking.
In the new version of the rankings in view of the exhibition of the most recent four years, the focuses acquired at the 2018 Olympics were supplanted with the focuses from the 2022 Olympic Winter Games and the Olympic Qualification competitions for Beijing 2022, which caused some development.

On the men’s side Russia and USA stay in third and fourth spot while Sweden and Switzerland climbed two spots coming fifth and 6th. For Switzerland this is the most elevated position ever in the Men’s World Ranking. The best 8 are finished by Czechia and Slovakia. Germany, the silver medallist back in 2018, lost four positions and is currently 10th.
Denmark, which interestingly qualified for both the people’s Olympic ice hockey competitions and arrived at the quarter-finals, climbed two situations to 10th spot.

In the Women’s World Ranking the United States lost the best position in the wake of having been first-positioned for six successive years. Canada is currently on top subsequent to winning the 2021 IIHF Ice Hockey Women’s World Championship and the 2022 Olympic ladies’ ice hockey competition.
Finland stays a steady third – a position the Finnish ladies’ group has held beginning around 2015. The Swiss ladies climb to fourth place interestingly beginning around 2015 to the detriment of Russia. Japan and Czechia stay in 6th and seventh spot while Sweden climbed to eight to the detriment of Germany.
On account of fitting the bill for the Olympics, Denmark took 10th spot from Hungary. China, which completed played at the Olympics interestingly starting around 2010 and completed 10th out of ten, climbed three spots to seventeenth.
